About

I am a molecular biologist, and MD by training. Received my PhD in 2006 at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. The most of my efforts were in ChIP, or in other words Chromatin Immunoprecipitation. Science is about measurements, so this technique will also go through exact sensitivity and specificity measurements. I am working right now on this.

The idea to write this blog came from the so many hours of explaining the same basic techniques to novices in the lab.

I thought I can spare some time by writing down these things. as I just learned from Carl Wieman's lecture at Harvard (you can watch it here) the process of becomming an expert from a novice is by definition very long, and needs thousands of hours of thinking.

Nevertheless I will keep on writing about interesting things, books, protocolls and so on.

Follow me.
